    Unsync a controller from console to allow sync to PC


    Hi,

    I bought one of the new Xbox One S controllers and have been using it with my console. I'd like to sync it with my PC to play on Steam, but can't figure out how to get it to stop syncing with/turning on the Xbox when I try to use it on PC. Any help would
    be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    X and controller sync

    When connected to the other PCs it is using USB so I just unplug it, I don't know other way to desync it from PCs. I did a quick test just now, go to a PC, plug the USB to a controller and then stream and play Witcher 3, then stop streaming transmission, go in front of the X and boom, controller doesn't sync at all, not even removing the batteries for few seconds, I need to reboot the console and click on the X button while the console is starting up to get it synced again. And it happens with all the three controllers I have.

    Xbox 360 controller won't sync to windows 10

    Hey there TG SilentStorm.

    You shouldn't need to unsync the controllers. Once you sync them with another device they should automatically unsync from a previous device. Have you possibly tested one of these controllers with an Xbox 360 to see if they're able to connect there?

    Hey there.

    Do you have Bluetooth on your PC? Or are you using an Xbox Wireless adapter? Try plugging it in to your PC with a USB cable, that should de-sync it from your console.

    Thanks for the quick reply. My PC doesn't have Bluetooth. I'm plugging it in with a USB cable, but it doesn't seem to connect. It vibrates when I plug it in. Then I turn it on and the light slowly flashes on and off indefinitely. I've checked and I'm updated
    to Anniversary Edition. I also tried to use the Xbox Accessories app to see if that made a difference but no luck.

    Hey there.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. in regards to your question about how to "unsync" a controller from a console. There really isn't a setting or button to do so on the console. The only way to "unsync" a controller would be to sync or bind the controller

    Hey!

    Hmmm odd issue. Try unsyncing the controller from the xbox, then sync the controller again. Another option replace the batteries. 3rd, sorry if this is costy, buy a new headset or buy a xbox one headset adapter plug the adapter to the xbox one sync it to
    the console and controller then plug in your headset and it should work from there. Hope this helps!
