"unsupported video format" on 3 different HDTVs with 3 different HDMI cables.

the xbox 360 has worked on ALL three of these TVs before with all three, but randomly one day when I brought my xbox over to my mom's house it won't read up on either TV using any cables.

I have tried resetting the video settings with RT and Y and I've seen the xbox reset and go through the motions like I did it right, but nothing changes or happens.

I've also tried to blindly navigate to the video settings but nothing seems to give results.

    :)

    HDMI Video Blacking out

All of a sudden my console started to black out at random times. It's only with the HDMI though. I've tried using a different HDMI cable, no luck; same problem. I tried using a different TV, same problem. The video (and audio) cuts out from anywhere between
3 seconds to minutes. My TV also states, during this blackout, "No Video Signal" and "Unsupported Video Signal".

Is it possible for the HDMI to just crap out like this? Should I just send it in for repairs?

    (slim 250gb)

    HDMI not working

    Try the following:

    1. Use a different hdmi cable

    2. Try your hdmi cable in a different device

    3. Different TV

    Any success?

  6. Hey there Copy House!

Sorry to hear about the video connection issue. Just to clarify, are you able to connect to any TV through HDMI? If you have tried to connect to 3 TV's and have tried 3 different HDMI cables, It sounds like the issue may be with the HDMI port on the console.
If this is the case, your console will need to be repaired. You can get your console repaired through our Online Service Center.

Another option would be If you have a Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable you will be able to verify your consoles video settings without having to blindly navigate to the settings. This will allow us to determine if it is an issue with the video settings.

Please keep us updated and we will standing by to help.

I've tried three TVs and they all give the same problem.

This console has worked perfectly with no issues otherwise.

Ever since I tried putting it in a different TV (same TV I have used it on fine before) it's been acting up. I pulled the HDMI plug out when the console was off.

Not interested in going through the bs overpriced repair system for faulty consoles, just want a fix.

So I'll try finding an AV cable and if not I'll just toss it in the trash rather than spend a cent to the service center.

    Thanks

    Xbone freezing during live TV

Because audio and video is sent via the same HDMI cable, the video signal could be corrupted because an unsupported audio format is being sent. This is a known issue, and it is generally because the user has surround sound enabled on their cable box.
