Unsupported Signal on Sony Bravia TV

    Hi there!

I’m currently house-sitting, and I brought my Xbox Series S with me to pass some time.

It was previously configured to run 1920x1080 at 120Hz on my G25-10 Lenovo monitor.

When I plug it into the Sony Bravia TV, I get a black screen with an error message saying “Unsupported Signal. Check your device output”.

HOWEVER, I can hear the Xbox’s startup screen.

    What I’ve attempted to do:

    1. Held down power button for 10 seconds and unplugged the Xbox Series S. Then, I proceeded to hold down the power button and eject button simultaneously until I heard 2 startup chimes.

    2. I tried using a different HDMI cable.

    3. I tried plugging it into a different HDMI port.

    :)

Option 1 that you tried should work, cos that will reset the video settings to low res mode, which is 640 x 480 at 60Hz. I would give that another try, just in case it didn't work properly for some reason when you tried it before.

Hello, Prescilaa. Thanks for reaching out. I'm Lucas, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be glad to help you out.

When you tried the first solution you mentioned (with the eject button), you still received the same error message and the black screen?

If you plug your console on other TV or monitor, does it work fine?

Waiting for your answers, my friend.

Hmm, gotcha. Have you tried an entirely different cord? Or reversing the ends of the cord you're using currently? Also, are other HDMI devices working with both TVs?
