Unresponsive system

Hi all,

This morning I started up my Xbox One S and tried playing some Fallout 4. I was immediately met with the error “you need this update, but we can’t get it right now”. After some quick troubleshooting steps (hard restart, change network, etc.) I am now met
with a completely black dashboard screen with no response from the controller other than opening the home menu, which I also have no control over. The only thing the controller will do is turn the console off when holding down the home button. I can’t even
get into the settings to do a factory reset. I’ve tried multiple different controllers too. Please help! I rely on my Xbox as my main entertainment system for the home.

Same here. I rely on my system as well. Xbox Core Services are down affecting sign in

That would make sense, and in my frustration I forgot to check the service. Thanks for the quick advice, I’ll wait until it comes back online and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the reply. In reference to the Service Alert, All services and games are now active. We recommend to do
the following article: How to restart or power cycle your Xbox
One console(Disconnect and reconnect your console's power cable)

Ran the power cycle, still having issues. Ill keep my eye on the xbox server status and update if i get my system to work.
