Unresponsive button

Hi, I have been using my controller for 2 years and now something seems to be wrong.

LB is not working properly.

I googled it and this seems to be common problem for many users.

As the subject says, it's unresponsive.

For example, when i'm playing call of duty multiplayer i can't throw my tactical grenade.

I have to press several times in order to throw one grenade. I should be dead by then

Since warranty has passed i'm planning to fix this for myself.

I'm willing to take responsibility for this.

But in the internet many people say that i need special screwdriver called "torx".

They are telling me to use T8, T9, T10.

I do not know which one i need to choose.

Which one do i need?

I'm currently using black wireless controller(controller came together when i bought xbox360S)

Xbox One controller Randomly dissects and reconnects during gameplay.

I have same issue, now experiencing mid session unresponsiveness with all buttons but home/logo button totally unresponsive. No disconnect message, just unresponsive. Any others?

Unresponsive button, not sticky.

Those have T8. But, I suggest just buying a new controller. Take them apart can damage it more.

Pity because it is such an annoying issue, I play Elder Scrolls and you need to do a lot of combo's (weaving) which is impossible

now..

I was looking to buy an Elite II controller but it seems it is suffering from same issue...

Scuf is the only wireless 3rd party but gets bad reviews everywhere and I do not want to connect a cable trough

the living else I would have bought a Razer..

but ok I'll check every now and then until fix has released..

For now I will send in the controllers again hoping I get a better one in return...

While searching the internet I found a post from someone (xbox one few years ago) who had same issue.

He fixed it by sliding a piece of paper around the button.

So I have tested the same.. In the end I ended up with a small strip of paper from a tea bag label..

Works really well. I am unable to press the button without it registering

)

This means it should be an easy fix for MS improving the casing so that the button can't wiggle...
