Unresponsive apps

Everytime I try to open my settings app on my Xbox One, it closes, and I can't seem to uninstall any games either. The kinect I have also doesn't respond. What's wrong?

Unresponsive my games and apps

My Xbox one's my games and apps widget is unresponsive i can try to open it and it makes a tone but nothing happens on the screen. I can't access my games unless i go through the store or insert the disc for non-downloaded games.

Please help me.

Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down then unplug everything for 5 minutes. That should fix the issue.

Hello Dark Unicycle,

I have tried resetting and I am trying to reload the app but it seems to be unresponsive. Earlier on I dragged everything from C: TO D: which took a while and then deleted what I had on C:. I am worried that I have messed up somewhere for the app to be unresponsive.

Are you enrolled on the Xbox Alpha dashboard for the Xbox One? Alpha users are experiencing multiple issues with various apps. Clearing the save data on a few other apps that won't launch sometimes fixes this problem if you aren't enrolled in any dashboard previews.

There is also a problem with the 360 version of the Netflix app recently, although I'm not sure what is causing it. You can try clearing the cache on the internal HDD as well - this solves many problems with apps failing to launch on 360.

PS: I left out an important detail: The unresponsive state happens right after a cold reboot. Once it becomes responsive, it stays that way unless something happens to an app. For example, once the Amazon Instant Video app locked up and then the UI was
in the unresponsive state. However, usually it is right after boot, though not 100% of the time either. Reminds me of early windows...

App loads slowly if it does at all. Freezes and becomes unresponsive at times videos stop playing and will not resume. This is the only app that does this. No help avable online so I'll just delete the flawed app.
