Unrequested refund

Yes, this can happen sometimes. Something wrong could have happened during the transaction, and it is refunded so you can buy it again.

Usually, refunds take up to 5 business days to be issued back, so this can be the reason why you have not been refunded yet. If it has already taken more than 5 business days, I recommend contacting Support directly.

If a player came in to my game and took a unrequested dump i would kick them too.

so if you drop things and the host did not ask you to then expect to lose everything you dropped.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and then check any transactions that were made for Fortnite, you will see the status "completed, refunded, declined, etc,". If you were able to see a refunded status transaction, it means that there is a refund transaction and the money will be credited directly to the same payment method that was used in purchasing the item.

If ever you haven't seen any refunded transaction from there you will be needing to reach out to Epic and if possible provide evidence that there are no recent refund transactions.

thanks - as it happens I tried this just after posting and indeed there is nothing showing on refunds on my account, or my son's. So I have taken it up with Epic again as all the evidence points in that direction. Many thanks!
