Unrepaired Xbox One console sent back to me ( Green Screen of Death )

So yesterday I checked myservice.xbox.com, to see how the repair of my xbox is working out. It stopped working around a week ago, the infamous Green Screen of Death plagued my console. I tried everything back then, bought a 3.0 USB Stick just to fix it.
Yeah no, nothing worked, the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool didn't do anything for me. I did try both download options, the first download ( the lengthy one) made my Xbox do a beeping sound once, even though it's supposed to beep twice. I then got a
system error telling me to contact Xbox Support. I thought maybe this was just a coincidence, so I tried again. Nope, just one beep and the same system error again.

So I thought okay, the only thing that can save this thing now is to restore factory defaults. I proceeded to download the update, only to find out that my Xbox didn't recognize the software of the second download, the factory restore file. I tried multiple
times and eventually gave up, it didn't beep once, as opposed to the first download.

So I decided to ship it to the Xbox Repair Center. It did arrive fairly fast, I checked everyday to see if it had been repaired. Yesterday ( just as I told you earlier ), I got a new status telling me that my console had been shipped to me. Huh? That's strange,
the website never even told me that it was being repaired, it just told me earlier, that it arrived, that's it. I was happy at first but also kind of suspicious, so I contacted the Support Chat, they told me everything was fine and that it HAD BEEN REPAIRED.
Somehow, I didn't believe it though, I never got a status update or confirmation email that it had been repaired. So about 15 min ago I contacted the support again, only to find out that the console hasn't been repaired since apparently no " major issue "
has occured while checking the console. I was and am still furious. My console will hopefully arrive tommorow, if not it'll probably be here on monday. Who knows maybe it works? I am still curious if somebody had the same scenario though.

So my question is has anyone had the same problem so far? Has your console been shipped back to you even though it didn't work?

TL DR:

- Shipped in my console cause of Green Screen of Death

- Apparently the console had no severe error and was shipped back

- I am now waiting until it arrives, wondering if anybody else had the same problem and if it actually works, which I hope it will, otherwise I'll be really angry.

Thanx but no it was brand new from a shop. I wish i cud put a pic on of what has been done to it but how they get away with it i have no idea! From what i have read nobody has been successful in cases like mine.

If the console is one of the Xbox 360 S versions, the warranty sticker is on the back. If the sticker has been removed by your son than they will not honor the warranty because it has been void. There is nothing they will do if that sticker was removed.

Thanks for posting on the Community Support Forums!

The Xbox Repair Centres will only send a console back 'unrepaired' if they couldn't find a fault.

They will thoroughly test your console, referencing the original case notes - and if they cannot reproduce the issue under a normal environment, they will ship it back to you.

If they have not found an issue, but when you use it yourself, there is still an issue, then the issue may well be with your home set-up.

Just to check, how do you plug your console into the mains power? Through an extension cable or direct into the power outlet?

 

Through an extension cable, my Xbox has not arrived yet however, so I can't give you a confirmation about it being the power supply or anything else. I don't think it would cause the green screen of death though.

 

i have same issue with my console. I tried everything step by step for online update but still not working.
