Phone: Samsung Galixy S4 on Verizon

How many consoles do you have connected to this router?: 1

Wired or wireless (for each console): wireless

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter internal

I can usually but not always connect to XBox live. When I cannot connect I cannot figure out how to solve this. I can verify the hotspot is working fine 'cause I can connect one or more other devices. Adding or deleting any or all of the devices doesn't
work. 'rebooting' hotspot doesn't work. Restoring factory defaults and re-entering PSWD on XBox doesn't work. Rebooting XBox doesn;t work. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Random issues with xbox/xbox live out of nowhere

The mobile hotspot IS your problem, they are highly unreliable. A hard wired connection from a router with a minimum of 3mb up and download speed is recommended. My NAT is always strict, but is acceptable, and has never caused me any problems. A high speed
wired internet connection will resolve your problems, until then your mobile hotspot will continue to be problematic. hope this helps.

Slow and reliable. I can wait for games to install overnight but it is really frustrating having an unreliable internet and losing connectivity.

Would you guys rather slow but reliable internet or fast and unreliable internet for all your Xbox needs in 2019. Whether that is downloading digital games and huge patches or trying to play multiplayer.

Reliability is best! As a multiplayer gamer, I would much rather have a consistent connection.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand you are having issues connecting to the hotspot. Unfortunately, Hotspots are very unreliable. There is not much troubleshooting except restarting phone and reconnecting the Hotspot. As the console does connect
to the internet via wifi there isn't anything wrong with the console. As your carrier stated it is most likely something to do with the phone. Have you made sure it is up to date. Personally have had to reset my phone in the past for things to work correctly
also.

Also, mobile hotspots are not as reliable as a broadband internet connection, so reliable connections are not guaranteed.
