    UNRECOGNIZED DISK ERROR Please help


    Have a xbox 360 S and it has been working good playing games yesterday and today it wil not read games or movies. NOTHING. Everything else is fine just does not read disk anymore. I hope someone knows what the deal is because it belongs to my son!

    fifa 13 issues

    Hey guys im having a issue with my fifa 13 disk and i am unable to recognize the main issue, if its the drive's fault or the lasers. The disk is brand new and has no scratches. What happens is that i put the disk in my xbox somtimes its says "play game"
    it would just load it into a black screen then i would get the unrecognized disk prompt or just unrecognized disk. It does sometimes work but it is rare. When it does show the image of the game and says "play fifa 13" it would give me the unrecognized disk
    error while in the loading process.

    P.S all my other games works.

    Anyone got any ideas???

    99% of the time that's the optical drive needing servicing. I suggest you contact support about a repair.

    Random Freezes- Disk Errors Mid-game?

    Same thing here. All my dvds, cds, and older games work (Left 4 Dead one and two, and Dragon Age: Origins just to name a few). Skyrim and Arkham Asylum come up with the "Open Tray," "Unrecognized Disk" errors though. I get the status code 06-2E-00 for the
    unrecognized disk if that matters at all. I did all the steps supplied here:
    forums.xbox.com/.../624.aspx     to no avail. The only difference is when I get Skyrim to play (after about 30 minutes of open/close) it plays fine. Arkham Asylum plays for a while before it freezes with the "Unrecognized Disk" error. An expedient and EFFECTIVE
    solution would be much appreciated Microsoft...

    Is this only happening to me?

    I constantly have disc read errors with this game

    It either doesn't read at all and says "Open Tray" or I get "Unrecognized Disk"

    It is aggravating as hell and only happened to me on this game

    I even installed at and that was no help

    Might be a factory disk issue but up until now I wasn't sure if it was just my Xbox or the disk

    Xaerg - Do you have an old Xbox or one of the newer models?
