    Unreasonable suspension

This morning my account out of no where received a suspension. I have done nothing to receive this suspension in any way shape or form . It's only a one day suspension but I play in madden connected franchises and one day cost me to take a force Loss Due
to my inability to play . I have a high reputation and have been a customer for years it's unreasonable and unfair to me as a competitive gamer

    :)

  2. UNREASONABLE SUSPENSIONS

I'm looking to communicate with parents of children who have received extreme and unreasonable suspensions of their x-box live accounts. Last night my son received a message while playing peggle on x-box live that his account had been suspended through
12/31/9999. From the year, I am guessing this is a lifetime suspension. I was with my son when he received this notice on our television and though it said an email would follow, no such email has arrived. I contacted customer service and was told that
the only option I had was to post a note on the forum page and wait for a reply. I've done that, twice, and have not noticed where my post appears yet, nor have I been contacted by anyone at the enforcement team. After reviewing an overwhelming number of
complaints for the exact same thing on the forum page, it appears that microsoft is banning people for life due to the change of appearance of avatars. I do not know if this is the reason why my son's account was suspended since I've not been contacted in
response to my inquiries. While I understand now that this is a violation of the "code of ethics", I am quite certain that a lifetime suspension is extreme and worthy of an appeals process. Several people have requested information on how to appeal, but
the responses they've received from the enforcement team have not answered this question.

As parents and gamers, I'm sure that you, like my family and I, have spent quite a lot of money on x-box live. Including membership fees, games, downloads, microsoft points, etc. The suspension means that all of this money goes to waste. I find this to
be absolutely unaccepable. The suspension terms are unfair and unequal and they need to be challenged.

If you have experienced a similar event, please contact me at [Mod Removed]. It is my intention to have my attorney communicate with the Microsoft's X-Box Live Legal Department on this matter

    UNREASONABLE SUSPENSIONS

I just got back from walking my dog and have given this matter some thought. Ever since Microsoft implemented Avatars years ago, parents have coming here and complaining that their child has been banned permanently from Xbox Live. Who here remembers the
modded guns in Borderlands? Gearbox put a stop to that after what, a week? You're telling me that is simply beyond the technological capability of a multi-billion dollar corporation to prevent children from modding their avatars?

    -

The fact of the matter is, Microsoft is making bank off modded avatars. Childs makes one, child gets banned, child cries to mommy, mommy pays for new account. Microsoft could make it impossible to mod avatars by tomorrow if they felt like it. But why on
earth would they do that? Instead of making it impossible, they make it exceptionally easy so a child could do it.

    -

And here are you tools with your lips pressed against Microsofts figurative buttcheeks like it's going to get you somewhere. When in actuality, if you were hanging off a cliff screaming for help, and there was a dollar bill stuck to a tree branch on the
other side, MS would do a running leap off your face and snatch that right up.

The enforcement team do not use the forums.

An email would of been sent to the address linked to your account telling you why you were suspended or you can check on the enforcement site
    http://enforcement.xbox.com/home

As it's a 24 hour suspension you are not eligible for a case review so you will have to wait out the suspension i'm afraid.

Your rep has nothing to do with whether you can be suspended or not.

    UNREASONABLE SUSPENSIONS

Sword Style, I don't believe it is anything like "lip service" or the like. It's simply due to following a set of Rules that everyone Agreed to. If someone does not Agree, click the "Do not Agree" Button and simply refrain from
using the Service. It's about integrity and nothing else.

Why should anyone User be allowed to break the rules when other cannot?

I agree, a permanent suspension for a modded avatar is extreme and petty. Especially for a little kid who doesn't know any better and just thinks he's making his avatar look funny. I mean honestly, how many 10 year olds do you really think read through the
terms of service agreement? A week without party chat with his friends and I assure you, he will have learned his lesson. Policy or not, suspensions like this are the poor judgement of a single individual. It's not like someone would have gotten fired and
been unable to feed their children if the suspension was a week instead of a lifetime

For account suspensions you need to post on this part of the forum
    .

It is the only place the people who can answer your question will see it. Remember to provide the gamertag in question when you do so.

Essentially though any changes to the Avatar that require a PC program will get you banned until 9999. This means you lose everything connected to that account like remaining Gold time, Microsoft points and DLC.

If the account you are posting from is a different one then you can also expect a ban on this one due to the colour of your avatar.

[/quote]Modding is modding. Any form should warrent a perma-ban. Those would teach a better lesson than a week long ban anytime.
