    Where did you purchase the gift card? If it was purchased from a third party vendor, you should contact the vendor for a new receipt or replacement. Microsoft/Xbox is not responsible for third party vendors' gift cards.

    Yolu will not be charged tax on a giftcard. That would be double dipping because you'd have to pay tax on the giftcard and then again on whatever you buy with the giftcard.
