Unpurchased DLC showing up in the game

I decided to play this a few minutes ago, so I start a new game, get on the horse outside the saloon, the game autosaves...

...And my gun turns gold. Then I get a message saying "you've discovered the Deadly Assasin outfit."

I think it may have been caused by hooking up a used hardrive to my Xbox to move a couple of games to it.

I hadn't used it before, and it still had all of the profiles and gamesaves from the last person; one of which was for Red Dead Redemption.

I deleted the file without looking at the contents, but I assume it had this DLC on it.

Now I have half of the Golden Guns pack, so all of my guns turn gold when I get to the first autosave, but I don't have the option to turn them back to normal.

I haven't tried unlocking the outfit, but I guess since I don't have the DLC installed, I can't. It still shows up when I go to "outfits," though.

Is there any way to get rid of this stuff? I really don't want to play through the game with golden guns. It's silly.

Have They Fixed Things Yet?

I bought Season Pass. Go into game, no Skarlet. Skarlet market as unpurchased and @1200 points.

Many have had same issue, many have had other issues.

After scouring the 'Net, I tried downloading the Compatibility Pack. Go into game - Skarlet is there and playable! BUT she's still marked as unpurchased in the DLC section! Except now she's at 0 points. So I "purchased" her, and now she's marked as purchased
as she should be. I think everything is kosher now.

Maybe issues were fixed in the meantime, I don't know. But if you have same problem I had, try DL Compatibility Pack as work-around.

 

DLC not showing up in game

I also bought the Xbox bundle, I have download an installed all the codes that came with the system fir the items,but I also cant see them in my game it says I have them installed.I have uninstalled an reinstalled the 3 codes for the packs but still not
showing in game.I see others in game with the items but I dont have them.the code fir the game worked fine just the other 3 codes for the weapons an exos arnt showing up in my game.hope this gets fixed cause I paid all this money expectin it all to work.

 

think it came free with the game on sale, like pre installed. I have it and didn't pay $1 for it. did pay for the warhorse.

 

FYI doesn't take long of playing and you'll find new better weapons during missions that replace the gold ones.

 

I bought thi game way back when, then gave it to my brother after I finished it. Recently I bought it from Marketplace during a sale, and I also had the Golden Guns and Assassin outfit.

Apparently, back in June R* unlocked these items to everyone connected to the Social Club. Like Buick said, you'll get better weapons after just a few hours of playing, but there's also a code to turn off the golden Guns if you want:

if you have the case and booklet that came with the game you might want to look into it to see if it was a extra content added free as a part of the game, like i have the undead nightmare pack and it comes with all the dlc,but if you really want to get rid
of this content then simply go to hard drive and delete the saved file, or all of the saved files and start over.
