    Okay, so I hooked up my cable box to the XB1 and ran through all the installation stuff. It works, but I am not sure I wish to run the cable through XB1 now. I disconnected the box and plugged it into the TV but now it's remote doesn't work and there is
    no picture. How do I unprogram the box?

    My Xbox One S review so far.

    the HDMI output for my cable box just stopped working last week

    made sure it was not the cable by bypassing it and works fine tv <> cable box

    idk if workth upgrading to S just for that yet

    Did you switch the input source?

    For instance.....One plugged into HDMI 1, cable box plugged into HDMI 2....make sure TV is set to HDMI2

    Your remote is probably set to control your 360 along with your TV and everything else. You will either have to reset the remote and reprogram everything or just unprogram the controls for the 360. Look in the manual that came with the remote to figure out
    how to do this.

    This might be something that will help you. Since the only Video In for the Xbox is HDMI, this converter will take your COAX in and output to HDMI.

    No. It functions via HDMI in, if you're not feeding a signal via the HDMI in then there is nothing to view. I imagine converters for a bunch of tv signal styles are in the works though.
