Unpin Bloatware from Taskbar

Hey, I'm having a small issue with a new computer. I wish to unpin the xbox app from my taskbar, but when I reboot my computer it returns. This is a brand new clean installation of windows 10. I will include my PC's specs below.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core
Windows 10 V. 20H2

ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wifi)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

Edit: Nevermind, I just used powershell to remove all the xbox stuff instead. It drives me nuts that MS forces me to go in this roundabout way to uninstall bloatware from their OS.

its part and parcel of windows 10 now. you basically have to except it or use a different OS. Microsoft keeps changing stuff in each iteration of windows 10 and as it costs us nothing.

It's the Game Bar, but after I unpin it and reboot my system the app reappears on the Taskbar, that's the whole issue. I don't want it to come back.

Which Xbox App is it? If its either the apps named Xbox or Xbox Console Companion, you can uninstall them. If its the Xbox Game Bar, you cannot uninstall it, but can unpin it by right clicking the app and selecting unpin.

I tried the first section and all it displays is the Exe and Unpin from Taskbar, I then tried the second option and it still only displays the Exe and Unpin from taskbar option.

Here’s how:

On the taskbar, select Microsoft Store to open it.

If you don't see Microsoft Store on the taskbar, it might have been unpinned. Here's how to find it: In the search box on the taskbar, enter Microsoft Store, then select it from the list.

After you've opened Microsoft Store, select More > Downloads and updates > Get updates.
