Unpairing an Xbox Wireless headset from an Xbox one

I have an Xbox wireless headset, and When I try to connect it to my windows 10, I can connect the two. However I still hear the sound from the Xbox, coming through the headset, as well as the windows 10 sound. Is there a way to completely disconnect the Xbox Wireless headset from an Xbox one?

    :)

How do i unassign a headset from my Xbox One?

    Hi Jamie,

If holding the power button on the headset does not unpair the headset to the Xbox, then the headset was probably not design to be able to unpair but only be paired to another Xbox. Since it uses the same connection as the Xbox One controllers, it may act
the same way in that you can't necessarily unpair your controller from your Xbox, you can only pair the controller with another console. The controller will always try and find the console it last connected to or a new console searching for a controller to
pair, and the headset probably behaves in this same manner. It seems like if an unpair feature was available, it would be a button on the headset or a specific sequence but that would be something you would need to contact SteelSeries about.

How do i unassign a headset from my Xbox One?

    Hi Jamie,

The headset connects to the Xbox One using the propriety Xbox Wireless connection, the same one the controllers use to connect to the console, and does not use Bluetooth to connect to the console. The Xbox One does not support Bluetooth connectivity. This
is why the headset works on both the console and another device at the same time so that you can listen to your own personal tracks on your phone or tablet while you game.

The only place to un-assign or unpair the headset from your Xbox Live profile would be in the Xbox Accessories app. When you select the 3 dots icon under the headset in the Xbox Accessories app it should bring up a new menu and say that it is assigned to
a profile. Try un-assigning the headset from there. If you cannot or there is not an option in the Xbox Accessories app, then you should be able to disconnect the headset from the Xbox on the headset itself. However you first paired the headset, hold that
button again and see if it unpairs the headset. You may need to contact Steelseries for more help on that.

Thank you for your help on that. When i click the 3 dots though, all it says is firmware....and the firmware version number. There's no option to do anything or press anything which i think is ridiculous, surely that would be the way to unpair the headset?
The way to connect the headset to the Xbox is to press the connect button on the console whilst the power to the headset is off, then to hold the power on the headset for 8-10 seconds and they automatically pair that way, so i don't see that been an option
    to be fair.
