Unpaid refund. No credit in the account and cannot contact ANYONE in support.

Back in late August 2020. I got a $50 giftcard for XBOX. I purchased COD Black Ops II and it wouldnt download/install/work/ I requested a refund the same day. I got an email saying the refund had been approved and I would have to wait 5 business days. Those
days passed (plus some) and the refund had NOT appeared in my account.

I sent an email to support (replying to the email confirming the refund) to let them know that I had not received the refund yet. No reply.

I sent an email 20 days after that - still no reply.

I sent another email a week after that...crickets.

I got onto my XBOX account and went through the multiple choice questions (& drop down boxes) in support/refunds section - and because I had already received a refund for the COD option, it said that I could not submit the request because I had ALREADY received
a refund for that particular game...so I had to choose something I have not received a refund on so that I can get my message to support through. I chose a refund on ROBUX BUT I explained CLEARLY that I am not seeking a refund of ROBUX - explained the situation
re: COD and my difficulties in contacting support to find out why the reund for COD was approved nearly 2 months ago BUT HAS NEVER been credited to my account. So far so good.

Just prior to this, I got someone on the phone at microsoft but they could not help with XBOX inquiries.

I get a canned response the next day saying that my refund request for ROBUX was approved and should show up in my account! This goes from bad to WORSE! Now I have to fix the ROBUX refund!

There is no contact number for XBOX issues to speak with a real person, the virtual agent makes you go through the whole process only to tell you that it doesn't understand and you need to speak to a person, you select "speak to a real person" only to be
told that they are not available. I contact support and get no reply and I then resort to the work-around by requesting a refund for a different purchase JUST SO I can get a message through - they don't read the text in the description box and just send you
a canned response and refund you for something you DID NOT WANT a refund on and create another identical problem to the original one. What to do?!?!?!?!

I am so incredibly frustrated with MS and the BS run-around.

Ok FIRST stop sending in request for refunds for things you really dont want refunds on. I know your frustrated but this is not the way to handle it at all. You in fact need to speak with a live agent or chat agent that is not an Xbox Ambassador
chat if it gives you the options. I know in certain locations chats and phone lines are not open at the same time. With all the other refunds that you put in were they actually refunded?? Did you get any refunds to you Microsoft account balance?

Technically, I got the refunds but in reality I didn't because neither of them are credited. That's the problem! For the record, I DID explain in the free text box that I did not want a refund when I was going through the refund process .... and your suggestion
that I speak with a live or chat agent has been attempted many times - again unsuccessfully.

1. I cant get a live agent,

2. I can't get a chat agent

3. they don't reply to support emails

4. My account only gives me the option to view what has been refunded but not get support/ask questions/follow up on that supposed refund other than request another refund.

5. The phone numbers provided are ONLY for MS office and tech support for such issues

6. Other support options are AI agents that don't understand the question OR

7. Forums like this.

That's 7 dead end options it would seem. To say you understand my frustration and wag your finger at my attempt to get support using a left field work-around is disingenuous.

When you receive a suspension for this reason, a prepaid card will not fix it. Prepaid cards cannot be used to cover credit card owing charges.

You need to contact support with this form
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us or your local support phone number, and speak with the billing department.

Unpaid expenses need to be cleared up first, then you can use prepaid cards.

If you have an unpaid balance then that will be why you cannot add or purchase anything. You'll need to contact phone support to get this sorted out as only they can help with billing issues.

all in game purchases go directly to the respective game owner/dev. in game credits when bought are automatically added to the account for that specific game, Microsoft cannot refund this as they have no access to those game servers to pull the point/credits
away. That is why it states in the terms that in game purchases are non refundable.

Contact the game publisher/Developer and see if they can give you a refund.
