    Unmute Xbox one s


    Hi,

    My Son got an Xbox one S for his birthday and used the headset with mic in a game for part of that night but since then it does not work. He’s not sure if he pressed something or if something has broken. I bought another headset to see if that would help
    but it hasn’t. I’ve tried the allow chat and headset audio options when searching this problem online but nothing works.

    On the home screen there is a Mic symbol in the top right which has a line through so I guess it is muted but have no idea how to unmute or where I search. Please can anyone help??

    Glitch! Have one friend that keeps defaulting to mute

    I have one friend that I can’t unmute. Tried blocking/unblocking and that doesn’t work and the mute/unmute is not working so I can’t unmute in chat or in game chat. Please help!

    Can you provide a bit more information? What type of headset is he using? Is it one that plugs directly into the controller with a regular 3.5mm headphone jack, or is this connected via the Xbox console? Is he able to hear sounds from the headset, can't
    speak, or can he not hear or speak?

    The crossed out mic symbol you're seeing in the top right does indicate that the console does not detect input for a mic, so you're correct there.

    Another possibility of your issue might be an issue with your Network NAT type. This is less likely, as you indicated that there is the symbol for not recognizing the microphone on the system, but still might be worth looking into to improve your gaming
    and chat experience. Sometimes if there is a mismatched NAT then you would be able to hear others, but they would not be able to hear you: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/nat-error-solution

    How to unmute mic on Xbox One S

    The Recon 70 has a volume control on the left ear and the mic mutes when you raise it. Very simple and straight forward to operate. I'm plugging it directly in to controller.
