Unlock tokens suddenly negative

So going negative on the tokens didn't throw up a red flag? Or the fact you could do it over and over again and unlock items? I'm missing the part were players felt this was the way the game was designed to work.

Even with 10 Permnant Unlock Tokens used, you still will not earn enough unlock tokens to unlock everything during your climb from 1-55. By using getting back all those tokens, you can unlock everything you missed,

That's not a token refund, that's a unlock token refund... If you are lvl 55 and choose to use it, you will get your unlock tokens back to use on another set of guns or attachments..

So when you use an unlock token (given at every level) to unlock something, it becomes permanently unlocked? You just need to reach its level again when you prestige to get it and don't need to spend another token?



And this "refund token" option let's you get all those tokens used so far to put toward other items that will then no longer require an unlock token to get after you prestige?

Yeah it's one of the options you get on prestige. There are prestige unlock tokens and there are unlock tokens. The quote above mentions the latter.
