Unlink Epic Games Account

How do I unlink my Microsoft account to a unknown Epic Games account I forgot about. I am trying to play cross platforming but says there's a account already linked with my Xbox account. Help.

Hello,

I tried to link my Epic game and Xbox account but when i tried Epic game told me that my xbox account was already linked to an other Epic game account but.. no ?

I can't unlink from Epic cause i don't know Wich account is conected to my profile and i can't unlink from my microsoft account cause i don't find where i could do it

Please help me with this;

I am having almost the exact same problem but both Xbox/Microsoft and Epic games won't help. So, if you figured out how to do that, please let me know.

the account link is done on epic game side and cannot be done from microsoft side

you can do this:

1. if you forgot you epic game account info you can start by reseting you password here: accounts.epicgames.com

2. when logged in you epic account setting(click on account under you username in the upper right corner)

3.in the left menue click on connected account. there you should be able to disconnect you microsoft account from epic game

if you have change email and no longer have access to the email used to create the epic game account associated with your microsoft account.

then you will have to open a support request with epic game to have your account disconnected.

in this case microsoft has no control on the association processe and cannot help you. (as they kindly already replyed you)

you would need to login to the ea account on ea website and unlink from there, unless they have changed it simular to epic.

Epic games changed earlier this year and locked accounts (you can unlink but only re link the xbox account with the exact same epic account)

you need to log into your epic account to unlink it from your xbox account. go in your settings on epic and it should say linked accounts go to that n select unlink.

The error on Epic game might be happening due to you having unlinked your Microsoft Account.
