    Unlink EA Account from Xbox Account


    Alright, I know I'm going to get told that I have to speak to EA to get this resolved. They won't help me as I can't recall the email of the account that is currently linked to my xbox account. I have an xbox account that has xbox game pass PC. I'd like to link my ea account and check out the new games in gamepass. When I try to link my ea account on the xbox app it shows an old ea account. I dont recognize the email. Not sure what it is. The last 4 digits it shows for the phone number are my old cell phone that I no longer have. When I try to link my xbox account in ea desktop it says, "Looks like your Xbox account is already connected to another EA account. Unlink accounts or try linking a different Xbox account." Wish it was as simple as that message. Wish I could unlink the account.

    I have tried to guess the gmail account and log in with absolutely no luck. I can verify my xbox account and the ea account that I want to link it to. I just can't verify the account that it is already linked to. It is incredibly frustrating that I can't simply click a button while in my microsoft account to remove an unwanted linked account.

    Essentially, EA has told me that unless I can verify the account that is currently linked to my xbox account there is nothing they can do. So unless I find a way to verify an EA account that I dont recall what the email is and no longer have the phone number for I am stuck with no EA games on game pass. Or I can make a new xbox account and move gamepass to that account. Which stinks as the only resolution. Anyone have any other options?

    It boggles me that Microsoft can't simply verify my xbox account and remove the unwanted linked account.

    Unlinking old EA account from Xbox

    You need to contact EA support to help you unlink your xbox account from EA account.

    However keep in mind that if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.

    According to the official EA unlinking FAQ website:

    "You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.

    That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future."

    Unfortunately is not possible to link a different Xbox account / gamertag, only the one that you linked at the beginning

    My XBOX Game Pass PC account is tied to unknown EA Account's email that is not mine.

    Hi Yeenoiz. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    The account connection is created on EA's side, therefore it can only be unlinked from EA's side.

    When signing in to the EA website, choose to login with your Xbox profile. This should allow you to access the linked EA account.
