Unlink an xbox one controller from a user

How do you unlink an xbox one controller from a profile? Current controller broken and need to start using a new one.

Can't transfer my Facebook account

I recently closed down an Xbox LIVE profile, and made a new one. I didn't unlink my Facebook from my previous account, and i can't unlink it so i can connect to my actual profile. Can somebody help me please?

Hi,

My best guess is that you can do it from the menu where you did assign the controller.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Under Kinect & devices, select Devices & accessories.

Controllers tend to be linked to an account on the xbox, if both controllers are linked to the main account then both controllers are attempting to control this account at once. Try unlinking one of the controllers in the settings or linking one of the other
controllers to a different account on the xbox (if there is one).

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. In this case we recommend
setting up a pass key and unlink the controller from your account if someone else is using the controller.
