Unknown Console Ban

Recently my console has been banned and I have no idea why that would be. After talking to support they said that there was no description or reasoning why the ban was placed so I was wondering if it was a mistake and could be lifted.

Banned for unknown reason

Got a console ban for some unknown reason.

 

Banned from Xbox Live

Well, I am not staff. But, there are a variety of different reasons you could be banned. Is your Gold Membership just expired? Not banned, just need to renew it? Do you have your xbox JTAG'ed? Any sort of hacking that is detected will ban your console and flag your GamerTag. If one of your friends has their console JTAG'ed and you logged into Live on it without knowing it was hacked would get you banned. Excessive swearing, racial slurs, spamming people could do it.

You're not giving us a whole lot to go on, so I can't be 100% sure. Did you buy the xbox from ebay? Possibly the person before you hacked it. Again, just too many unknown variables.

If I'm supposed to go there then why would support tell me to make a forum post here?

Also it states that ALL console bans are permanent yet mine lifts on the 10th of October.

 

The enforcement team used to use the forums and phone and chat support still think they do. They don't have correct information regarding the forums. They do issue temporary bans now, but the other information regarding console bans is still the same.

 

This information is helpful but still doesn't answer why the ban has no reasoning behind it or if it may be lifted. If it can be then could I get instructions on how to make a ticket or appeal for so?

 

There is no way to contact the enforcement team regarding console bans. All you can do is wait it out.

 

Console bans are permanent.

Console privilege suspensions aren't,which is what you have by the sounds of it.

These are usually issued to prevent someone from using a different account to avoid a suspension on their main account or because several accounts on the same console keep getting suspended.

You can not appeal console bans or suspensions so you will have to wait until the suspension is over.
