Unjustly Banned and Nothing You Can Do For It.

I've been an Xbox And Microsoft user for decades now. Wouldn't want anything else, it suits me and I love it most of the time, But after today I literally want nothing to do with either. Today Marks the 2nd unjust ban I have received because of messaging. First of all I was playing Dead by Daylight which is known for it's rather toxic fanbase, an 18+!!! Game!!! bear in mind, an argument spiked between me and another gamer of which he called me names in the messages like [mod removed]<- all spaced out so I assume I couldnt report. Way to exploit the system , and also told me to end my life, by this point I reply by trash talking back with 1 message thinking I'm having an adult conversation. How wrong I was.. I instantly get reported and banned from communications whilst he is still messaging me and telling me to "enjoy my ban". It honestly aggravates me that I'm paying for a service to be unjustly banned by 1 message. What about the whole conversation where this guy was harassing and telling me to end my life? Does this not get looked over at all? And dont get me started with the "enforcement" page which is utter GARBAGE. If I'm playing an 18+ game which I've payed for, the console which I've payed for, the subscription which ive payed for let me reply and speak about 18+ topics on an 18+ GAME!! And to anyone out there thinking about replying to trash talk in a message dont do it. Cause likely you will be fished into getting a communication ban like I did with absolutely no xbox support to talk to. Another Great Day For G

Even though they type it spaced out, it can definitely still be reported. Anytime you run across someone like that, report and block instead of responding. The enforcement team will investigate and take care of it from there.

Another thing to remember is that the age rating on a game covers single player content only & only means someone under that age can not buy that game.

Any online aspect of the game is not rated which every game with an online mode does tell you.Xbox live however is rated E for everyone so your behaviour on xbox live must be the same.

Ignoring someone being toxic will annoy them more than responding to them.

OP, you won't receive much sympathy here. And there is nothing the xbox forums can do about this.

However, if you feel you were unjustly punished, you need to PM
Jeremiah at bungie.net.

Be forewarned that there is a double or nothing clause. If Jeremiah finds the ban to be justified, your ban will be doubled. If you are innocent, then you have nothing to worry about.

The PET can throw the hundreds of people posting on these forums and I a bone and tell us why we were unjustly banned.

It's unacceptable to say "sorry, console ban, nothing you can do but continue to buy our product and hope it doesn't happen again."

I do appreciate your suggestions, though. Much more helpful than those who preach of cold, hard evidence, even in spite of it not being presented to those accused of modifying their console.
