Universal Emulators Need To Be Allowed On XB1 If They Are Allowed On PC.

I am not sure what Microsoft is doing here. I thought the goal was to integrate the PC and XB1 so they are closer together. Every time we make progress in creating a true app / program store Microsoft takes it away. Google's store has emulators, Microsoft's
app store has emulators for PC, Apple has emulators but Microsoft does not.

The question is if the XB1 is not going to be a true windows device that is fully capable or another WINDOWS RT or watered down version that no one wants as they do not even have the same app/program store as windows pcs which is already severely limited.
It's simple, if Microsoft is going to continue to restrict the XB1's capabilities then we will have to stick with the PC (which gives you freedom/functionality) or Playstations (which everyone has). If they allowed XB1 Scorpio to do everything my PC can, that's
great. At some point MSFT needs to learn they fully functional, capable and compatible devices are what consumers want. Learn from your history: Failures; Surface RT, WIndows Phones. Successes: Surface Pro. Same principles apply if Xbox 1 and windows phones.
You want a device that can do it and run/do everything a pc can. Not a limited functionality device.

Note: I do not have any emulators but I am tried of Microsoft producing limited functionality products year after year. At some point they need to make a true windows XB1 and a true windows phone (similar to the surface ideally with the old pocketpc windows
interface as the new windows 10 interface is horrible). This is why I have a google phone, google tablet and ps4 (if you are going to have a limited device - might as well use the one with the better interface, graphics and with the user base with the market
majority).

No sorry. As for emulation on a PC, not a chance. There no PC emulators that can play commercial 360 games - and, even if there were, you need one beast of a PC to run them - And of course, discussions
about piracy are not allowed here.

You are allowed to be logged in on one 360 and one XB1 at a time. So you have nothing to fear.

 

I agree, Emulators and game engine apps would be great, we could finally play heretic / hexen and doom custom wads,Quake 1 etc on xbox

People are saying MS only doing this to stay in Nintendos good books... whats the point, they have NEVER done anything to help MS , they stopped GE007 remake from happening even after MS/Rare offered to make Wii ver for them!!! they dont care about gamers
AT ALL, it would be a massive selling point for xbox also
