Unity Game update failing

I have finished installing Assassin's Cree Unity and tried to play it. It then comes up with a message saying the game needs an update. It then says that it is "getting ready..." for the update. After a short bit of time I then get a message saying "there
was a problem with the update" and get a help url. I have been through what the it tells me to do but the advise seems to be for a system update not a game update.

I am still unable to update my game. Is there anything different I can try for a game update as opposed to a system one? or is there atleast a reason why i seem to be unable to update?

repeated "Assassin's Creed Unity is ready to play" pop-ups

I keep getting repeated notifications saying the game is ready to play - like it was just finished installing the game or an update for the game. This happens 2 or 3 times within a few minutes of going to the homescreen or switching apps after playing Unity.
Not sure what's going on, but I'm curious if maybe the patches are failing to properly install maybe? anyone have any experience with this issue?

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on your console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that solves the issue?

 

I had already done that before putting up my original post.

 

I have the same game as a download from the unity bundle. It's nothing but issues with it. I have played it for few hours it freezes your console once you go to quit. it's very buggy in a lot of key spots. Response time very bad due to bad framerate issue.
I wish I never purchased the unity bundle and I feel that microsoft owes us all some type of compensation for this *** poor performance with potential to brick our new consoles. Its. It looks like the one in xbox one stands for one big fail

 

Are you connected via wireless? If so is there a chance you can use an ethernet cable for the update?

 

Do yourself a favor man delete the game and never play it. Untill they address all the issues in ACU I wouldn't go near it. It freezes my console every time. The game has a million bugs in it. I would not download it If i were you.

 

people who use wifi for xbox one are morons why would you try gaming or streaming anything over wifi, wifi is good for surfing the web and email i would love to be able to search for games with only other players who have Ethernet cable connected consoles
im sick and tired of playing with people who have *** wifi concections!!

 

Virkokka42 are you on the preview program as a update was released yesterday and you mentioned the advice seemed to be about a system update the latest being 1411-141111-2206

 

I have the same problem. I tried uninstalling, power cycling, installing disk offline then updating. These steps didn't work and connecting wired would be hard for me. Is there any other way?

 

I have the same issue as virkokka, I've followed all the trouble shooting prompts and still nothing. I've tried both wireless and wired connection.
