Unit replaced without Hard disk !

I'd filed a replacement request on account of a faulty console. As per instructions I got a replacement and sent the original unit back. Much to my horror, the replacement unit lacks an HDD and the support team now claims that there is nothing they can do.
They claim that I should have opened my console and taken the HDD. How am I to know that the error is not in the HDD ? Hence, I'd send the original console for replacement with the HDD. Anyone knows how to escalate this request ? The normal channels are no
help at all.

Format the "Hard Disk Drive" or "Your memory Unit" as there maybe a Error of some sort.

What year Xbox is it? Is it an old Arcade unit, since you said it doesn't have a hard drive? Is it a new slim model with the built in 4 g.b. flash drive that replaced the old Arcade units? Is it a new Slim unit? Kinda hard to say since you don't list the
type.

this is why you save the hard drive from your console that was how it was done even on the early clip on drive 360s. you will keep having to go through phone support nobody on the forum will be able to help you in that regard to my knowledge.

When you send a console off for repair it clearly states that you must remove the hard drive before shipping it off.

As dave said,you will just have to keep contacting support as no one here can do anything.

If you are having disk read issues you should return the unit or get a replacement unit. My error is related to ejecting the disk and replacing it with another while the device is in standby.

Like I thought ... replacement unit does NOT play bd-r blu ray disk.

Ouh, I did not know that! If thats the case, would be a most likely situation.

Do you think it is worth to give a go to one of those cleaning disks for dvd? Also, if confirmed that its that, do I have to replace the whole disk unit, or can that lense be replaced separately?
