    Unique disc drive issue.

I already made a topic about this but seemed to have no luck I dont know maybe I typed too much about it. To make it as short as possible I have heard of only a few common disc drive problems. The grinding gear problem....the other where it just won't read
your discs....and with minor variations thats basically it. Never heard anything about mine. Maybe 2 weeks ago when Destiny came out I also had NHL15 around. Both brand new discs. I noticed after swapping them out a few times they looked uncared for and I
found that very weird as I don't touch my discs and I put them in the cases. They looked....dirty and had these "scratches" that form somewhat of a pattern. The scratches are closest to the outermost part of the disc and the best way to describe it would be
its as if the disc is spinning properly and somehow its hitting something making this little mark that looks like a very poor letter C....

I didn't think anything of it at first until noticing it more prominently then I got suspicious. So I took a brand new CDR...and a brand new DVR all completely smooth. Put both of them in the disc drive and ejected them as soon as it was done analyzing them.
Both discs now with the exact same impressions on them. Each time I put a disc in....it will usually make TWO of these scratch marks on the disc about a half inch apart on the outermost part of the disc. Not only that....god here is the harder one to explain.
It also makes this perfectly straight line across one end of the disc to the other. This one however is not a scratch....its an impression as if that "rubber" strip that you see in the disc drive that discs slide under is somehow pressing itself across the
disc. That may sound confusing because the top of the disc rubs against that part and not the bottom......is there another bottom layer of that which is harder to see? I dont know.

The thing is....to my knowledge the ability of the console isn't affected AT ALL. It appears to install games fine....it plays the discs fine I have no issues and if I had to guess these scratches are somehow only occuring when a game is PUT IN or ejected.
As for maybe hearing it doing something? To my understanding...it sounds normal. I was around when disc drives used to be really loud so maybe mine isn't supposed to be as loud as it is? When I put in a disc I hear a very faint noise of it starting up the
disc and a few sounds that sound completely normal and are barely noticeable. Is that somehow not normal then either? Assuming iti s normal because it doesn't sound bad to me at all.....my discs are being marked up when everything else appears to work PERFECTLY.
    I dont understand it.

Looks like im failing the short thing but there is two more things to mention about it. These "scratches" don't seem to be TRUE scratches. I can wipe them off. Blu ray seems much harder to clean than DVDs because they smear so much so really when I wipe
the scratch off it creates a smudge elsewhere thats hard to get off so I can't really get the discs to look perfect but I am 99% sure the scratches are in fact coming off. This isn't much consolation because it shouldnt be doing it in the first place but its
worth mentioning. The final thing....my only lead on what could possibly be wrong with my drive came from observing the way the disc ejects from the drive as that seems logical because the system itself is appearing to have NO ISSUES. I noticed something that
I had a feeling was wrong.....when the disc is ejected and comes to a rest waiting for you to pick it up. It sits there at a very slight angle. The only thing that made me doubt that THIS could even be a problem....is its something almost any user would never
notice unless they were looking for it. Going online....again no one really talking about something like this anywhere and the few people I could talk to all said no it should be laying there straight. I still kinda doubted them because if your eyes are not
on the same level as the disc it could be very easy to mistake that as straight. So I ask a friend who is having NO ISSUES at all to check for me as I doubt the internet would be as dilligent as checking as a friend would.....sure enough he claims his disc
does the same thing. That it ejects and comes to a rest on a very slight angle. That rules out the only noticeable reason as to why this could be happening.

    -Why is this happening?

    -Anyone else had this happen?

-Will this eventually destroy my discs?

-Is the angle thing ONCE AND FOR ALL a problem? Or is it normal?

Really annoying to have to wonder about all of this. There were times in this year where I didnt touch my One for a month due to lack of new games and here we are with an storm of things coming out. I have read so many horror stories about shipping consoles
    in......

    :)

    A unique disc tray issue

So I don't get the clicking but I put a blu ray in after downloading the app and it started to play so i closed it out (was only using this to check if my drive clicked) bit it never ejected my disc so I pushed the eject button and nothing. Now home screen
says "insert disc" when it's already in there. Blu ray app says no disc in. So now my drive doesn't work and my movie is stuck in my console. So I looked if there was a manual eject which on microsofts very site there are instructions for bit it says push
the pin hole button on the left of the console. This spot doesn't exist. So I tried to enter a support chat and after waiting over an hour with a wait time of "4 minutes" it was 2 a.m. And I was done for the night.

    Open tray error

I used get the unique "disc unreadable" when I put GTA IV in - but that's because it's got one of Microsoft's UNIQUE scratches all the way around it even though they say the drives in their consoles don't scratch discs unless moved whilst the disc is in
    it (which I didn't do).

    Fallout new vegas glitch

While Fallout new vegas is riddled with parasites, there are a few simple fixes, but first you should know that every retail copy of the game will normally have its own unique bug unfortunately printed onto the disc.

Try installing the game to your xbox, this can sometimes help

    Try deleting your save.

If that doesn't work, try cleaning the disc, you can find the correct method by going here: support.xbox.com/.../disc-drive-solution

If that doesn't work, it may be a fault with your copy of the game, try taking it back and swapping it for another copy.

If that doesn't work, it may be your console or the controller, but these issues are less than likely, although the controller may need replaced.
