Unique Blu Ray App Issue

I recently purchased The Poughkeepsie Tapes on Blu-Ray. Upon inserting it in my Xbox One S, I noticed a static like snow appear on the screen. Given that the last time I saw this static was on a standard definition tv, I figured that this was some
type of filter the filmmakers applied to the menu. I soon realized however that it continued when the film was paused. I tried another Blu-Ray and it happened again. I also tried using a standard DVD and was not able to replicate the issue.

Thus far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Blu-Ray app and cycling power with no luck. I'm going to attempt to blow out the console with condensed air today, but if that does not work I'm unsure of what else can be done.

I'd like to stress that this does not appear to happen during gaming, streaming, playing DVD's or while in the menus. It only occurs with Blu-ray Discs. I have included a screenshot as well.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Sorry for this odd issue with snow on screen. Are you using a 4K TV?

Hi fellow gamer,

Since these didn't work, we recommend a
soft factory reset. When doing this make sure you know the email/password to the account, as it will be removed. If this doesn't work there may be issue with the hardware. As it only happens with Blu ray though it hard to tell.

Hello Shastatikipunch,

Thanks for keeping us updated. Try clearing out the persistent storage in your blu ray settings before we continue. You can get to these settings by following these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings.
Select Disc & Blu-ray.
Select Persistent storage
Clear persistent storage

Afterwards,
Power cycle your console and then try again.

Thanks for your response. No, my TV is a 1080p 60hz tv. Its a Samsung 32”.
