Uninstalling Game without affecting local saved game data

Hello everyone, I am trying to clear up some space on my xbox one. What I want to do is uninstall a game or two but I am concerned about my local saved game data. I have searched about the same issue but everyone says that it is automatically saved to the
cloud but my issue is different because I do not have the subscription for gold. It says that I can uninstall all and uninstall some specific add ons or the game itself. I understand that it shows the saved game data and that I could uninstall that too (game
progress). I am curious if I only the select the game, not the add ons or the saved game data, would it affect my saved game data?

Try uninstalling, then go to settings storage clear local saved data, restart the console (full shut down) then reinstall

Question about game saves on XB1

As long as you're connected to the internet, yes. Xbox One stores saves local and in the cloud so if you uninstall the game it'll need to resync with the cloud when you download it again to get your save data.

With the One you dont need gold for your games to save to the cloud. So if your console as been connected to Live while playing, your games are on the cloud as well.

But uninstalling only the game would only uninstall the game itself. Game progress is separate.

try uninstalling/reinstalling the game. it could be saved saved data error/corruption, delete your local game save data and refresh

You might want to try uninstalling/reinstalling the game. Or if its a saved data corruption, delete your local game save and allow it to re sync with the cloud.

update:

attempted a complete uninstall of the game, then deleted local xbox 360 save data, restarted, and reinstalled halo reach and tested. worked fine, then the next day, same issue... Crashes next day on starting the game, and only work-around is to delete
the xbox 360 local save data and re-download....

The best way to try and resolve this is by uninstalling the game. You then want to clear local saved data. To do that : Go to settings. All settings, System, Storage, Delete local saved games. When the system restarts try installing the game again.
Hopefully that fixes things.
