    I have some USB audio devices, it can be enumerated as a xbox controller HID device，and can be usd as audio device in windows 10；But I found that with the increase of the number of test products， the number of the audio device is increasing, is there any way not the increase the number? If there is any way when plug a new Xbox controller(same with before) it will not reidentify a new xx-Xbox Controller?

    When I test more products, I found there are a lot of hide devices in the Device Manager，as the below picture shows.

    Yes, as I said is not possible to do it.

    Something that came to my mind is try creating a executable script for CMD. But you may need to do a research for this

    Unfortunately this is happening due to every controller has an unique ID. This is why you're getting number increased.

    The best option is delete the previous controller on device manager

    I have tried to delete the previous controller on device manager, it is OK.

    But as a tester, I have to test a lot of the same new controllers, it is hard to delete every controller,

    I want to know is there any way to lock the controller to be fixed，meaning when I plugout the controller from PC，it will be delete all the information in the device manager instead of a hide device.

    I see, usually when you remove a driver on device manager, 99% of the times you may need to restart the PC to fully apply the changes.

    To locate this kind of buffer you may need to do reverse engineering on Windows system, Microsoft doesn't share this kind of things

    Yes，I have created an executable script. After I run the scripts, all the hide devices(xbox controller) have been removed from device manager, but I have to restart my PC, if not, it will take long time to display the audio device from xbox controller HID device, I think there is something about the xbox controller in the windows system buffer. I want to know where is the buffer in the PC，I want to try remove them instead of restart my PC.
