Uninstall game without disc?

    Uninstall game without disc?


    Hey there just wanted to check if I was an idiot or not. Recently sold my disc of Need for speed as I have it on the other console. Went to my games and apps last night to uninstall it and it has taken an automatic update. This means that when you
    open the sub menu there is no uninstall option only the option to install. Without the disc I cannot finish the installation of the update to get the uninstall option back so where do I find the option to uninstall?

    Uninstall the game, disconnect from the internet, install the game (without playing), connect, install the update (without playing). Profit.

    Yes. So you can uninstall the games to free up space without any issues

    Uninstall game without disc?

    Press menu button on the game mate that should give you the option.if not my only guess is you may need the disc to uninstall it

    Tried that. Like I say the option given is only ibstall and no uninstall option is in the menu. Can't get a disc as rental isńt allowed where I am and nobody I know owns an xbox one. Either there must be a worjaround or thus will be a real problem.

    That's really strange as I was able to uninstall Ryse today, which had an update waiting to install on it. I went to the 'my games and apps' tab, highlighted the 'games' tab, press the extra menu button (The one that brings up the menu in the middle with
    options, settings etc) and I could choose uninstall from there.

    Could you confirm that that option definatley isn't there?

    i bought darksouls 3 with season pass digitally and its not showing up on my xbox install list

    i uninstalled the disc version of the game

    its still not there

    and I did click the game prior without the disc and it did not run

    No. You would need a digital license in order to be able to uninstall and reinstall later and play the game without the disc.
