Uninstall game but keeps returning - no way to remove it?

I've been fighting with this issue for more than 2 years and frankly, I'm getting upset over it.

Dead or Alive 5 was a "free" game downloaded onto my console. Regardless how many times I remove it, it installs itself again. I've tried every conceivable option, but nothing is working.

About 6 months ago, I spoke to customer service about the issue, and they tried a few things to help out, but nothing on their end works.

PLEASE DELETE THIS GAME FROM MY ACCOUNT.

I do not understand why this accursed game won't remain off my console. I do not want it. I never wanted it. I don't even know how it got onto my console.

Please, remove it.

IE hijacked

My IE is completely hijacked and broke with no way of getting it back. It just keeps saying its infected and I cannot hit start to close the tab or open a new one. It just keeps popping up this malware crap. I have no control at all and have no way to uninstall
it or no way of reinstalling it, I'm completely stuck. IE on Xbox one is not an app therefore I cannot "manage app" like normal apps. How can this be fixed?

Hi, there is no actual way to uninstall the add-on unless you own the game. What you would usually do, is goto the manage game section of the game, and uninstall the add-on from there, but since you don't own the game, then there is no way to do that.

 

Hi, any game demos etc will always show on your account no matter what.

As for DOA 5, is it just showing in the ready to install section of my games & apps ? It certainly shouldn't be reinstalling itself that's for sure.

If it is it's just showing as ready to install in the ready to install section then highlight it, press the menu button on the controller and hide it, at least that way you won't see although it will still be attached to your account..........forever.

 

Is there anyone who has access to your account information or Xbox who might be installing it?

I kept removing Fortnite from my Xboxes, and it kept reinstalling. It was driving me insane. As it turns out, one of my sons kept reinstalling it (even though he had it on his PS4).

 

No, they don't. There have been plenty of demos offered by Microsoft which have never once installed themselves.

When I uninstall the game, it "reappears" in the "Ready to Install", then select "Hide from list", only to discover this feature doesn't work on this annoying game either.

Once I log out, and back on, the game has magically reinstalled itself.

I find it problematic Microsoft can't remove this game from our account.

 

You mean like the whole game will re download itself?

This situation seems very odd. Usually only way they install is if you manually install it.

I would suggest doing a Soft factory reset after uninstalling.

Before doing so, make sure of a few things.

Here's a list:

The information for your profile/profiles are up to date and you know email/password for each/all of them.

There is a backup connection to a network, i.e. HotSpot, or hardwire connection (Ethernet)

Make sure to select Keep My Games and Apps

This soft factory reset is performed by accessing the Settings.

It shouldn't have to do with the username, but give this a shot.
