Uninstall a game, keep your save file?

Hello everyone

If I uninstall a game on my Xbox One, will it also erase my save game data and any additional DLC for that I got? I don't want to remove the save game data / extra DLC; I will still be keeping the uninstalled game disc and re-install later.

Storage Questin

If I delete a game using uninstall from the XB1 hard drive what happens to all the save games etc associated with it?

On the 360 they were always still linked to the game even if you uninstalled it but having uninstalled Tomb Raider today to create some space there is no reference to the game at all on the console even though there should be a saved SP game....

yeah you can upload your save info to the cloud or just keep the file and then delete the install file.

 

No, your save data is stored in the cloud and will resync when you reinstall the game

Your DLC is fine too - it will all be stored in your 'ready to download' menu

I don't want to buy an External HDD yet because the games will just keep on getting bigger & bigger (so I don't want to have to buy a 2 TB HDD and then get a 5 TB HDD later), I will pick-up a 5 TB later since prices will drop when the 10 TB HDD comes out
