Unified screen time across all devices

Microsoft family safety seems to have just rolled out a change so that you can set separate screen time limits for different devices.. I want to limit my kid’s screen time in general, regardless of which device they choose to spend their allowance on. Is there a way to revert back to the previous way things were set up or create a shared limit across all devices?

    Thanks!

    :)

Unified screen time across all devices

Hello Talvaller,my name is Oskayra, I will be happy to help you in any way possible.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Starting in April 2023, Microsoft Family Safety allows you to set separate screen time limits for different devices. This means you can set a 2 hour per day limit for your child's computer, a 1 hour per day limit for their phone and a 30 minute per day limit for their tablet, to do that do the following.

Open the Microsoft Family Safety app.

Tap the name of the family member for whom you set screen time limits.

Go to the corresponding platform you want to set screen time for: Windows/Xbox.

Set screen time for each device as you like.

Select a day to set time ranges and total hours allowed for device use.

I hope the information is helpful to you, if not, let me know that I will be happy to continue helping you, good luck and happy day.

    Sincerely,
    Oskayra.

Why did Microsoft changed the Xbox one home menu? It was somewhat good but no more . . .

I think they’re just working towards a unified experience across all platforms.

What have you people done to Netflix?

The new Netflix update is beautiful and this new UI was created by Netflix not Microsoft. They wanted to unify the TV UI across many different devices. This new Netflix UI can be found on both Xbox 360 and PS3 for example and looks exactly the same on both
    consoles.

Anyone feel Xbox live is dropping quailty ?

PSN and live are the same except the voice chat

    [/quote]

The "same" is very subjective. How about the ease of use being that XBL is the only Platform with a Unified Profile across all Titles and Invites (including Game, Chat, Party and such)?

    Xbox one Scorpio exclusive games?

With their campaign to unify all devices under windows 10 my guess is that they will not alienate any customers, or try not to. Consoles may vary in stats, but they can't afford to thumb their finger at existing consoles. Sure there may be a few VR titles(fallout
4), but unified means all games on all systems as far as I know. I'm sure you'll let me know if I'm wrong, cuz your all game designers and devs...
