    Unformatted HD issues...


    Had a hard drive go bad on me a while back, right after the Destiny Beta ended, actually. Sent it in to be replaced, get a new HD, and whoops, same thing happens. New HD is unformatted and won't reformat. Call Customer Service and they say, "send in your
    xBox 360E." I just get a brand new unit today, put in my HD, and the same issue crops up. HD reads as unformatted and won't reformat. I just keep getting the error "There was a problem performing that action."

    anyone one have any ideas?

    need some answers

    Since the new update my hd has become unformatted and shows a e68 code. Should i get a new hd or wait for this problem to be resolved. I also was a beta tester could this screw up my system?

    update + hard drive format / unformatted

    Received message that an update is available when the 360 was turned on,...click yes,...another message pops up says not enough room on HD,...190mb required. I have a 250G HD and its not even close to being full. Then it says that the HD requires formatting.
    Did that, still says unformatted.

    Greetings!

    Are you referring to the same HDD, as the one you got as a replaced unit, when you are trying to add it to your new console?

    Is the HDD an official Microsoft product?

    May I ask, what is the storage capacity on your HDD?

    It's a 250GB , and it's the one that was replaced (or at least they say was replaced).

    Are you referring to the same HDD, as the one you got as a replaced unit, when you are trying to add it to your new console?

    Hi Mr,

    Thanks for the update on your issue. If the disk is reading unformatted, then it will need to be formatted. The content on the HD is basically already gone. This is due to somehow the HD has become corrupt. SO in order to get it working correctly, you will
    need to format the drive again. If all the data is gone, we recommend to
    enable cloud saves    .

    Yes, once you have purchased any content you can delete and re-download it as often as you need to.
