Unfit For Purpose.

Having now had the game for nearly a week and spending a good few hours today on the game I can only conclude that this game is unfit for purpose and a full refund should be forth coming. Lag is diabolical in every game and unlikely to change in the future
so we as customers should be entitled for full reinbuursement. I will now resort back to the former game until a suitable fps game becomes available, goodnight and goodbye COD. eBay is your friend....

"Pretty backwards" is a very tame and generous way of describing this unbelievably convoluted, ill-thought-out, and largely unfit for purpose or broken system

Just a question, have you played any of the battlefield series? It has a learning curve but when you get the hang of it, it can't be beat. It has its own issues but it is playable and dedicated servers, or rent one and run it yourself.

 

i have not experienced much lag.

in fact this has been the best cod game i have played for no lag.

maybe i have a better internet connection than i have had in the past i dunnno but i love this game.

and those coupled with im not sure if u remember this one GRAW have always been the only games I needed. This new game is just not what I like its just so manic and Halo like I can't get into it, this along with the lag makes it for me unplayable, sad sad
day. Do u know if and when BF5 might rear its ugly head never followed the series so I'm totally ignorant to it.

 

OP what about the one or two gamers a match that go positive and post scores of 20-10 or something close to that. They seem to be always be unaffected by lag or lag compensation. Why don't you message those players or the ones just doing good and ask how
come they are playing well. You might be surprised by their reply and don't be afraid to ask for tips. I did this the night before and now I am on the shotgun having an ok time. Also walking away from the game for a little while helps.

 

Pete, I was an avid GRAW player and a little Socom so I know where you are coming from. I highly suggest Battlefield 4 right now then, it will be a whole new military experience for you. If you want to run around go for it, jump in a tank, IFV, jet, helicopter,
go for it, the sky is the limit. Don't get me wrong, it has its ugly moments too but still great shooter fun. Each class has a role and when you work with others, the match goes well. 32vs32 is great.

I will admit that last night I had some better than average matches, I even had some kills that I didn't deserve, felt nice in a "oh my connection must be helping me" kind of way!

 

I hope they get the lag sorted out, because it has made the game unplayable at times. I just read that prior to launch they announced dedicated servers. How in the world do you make that announcement and then fail to deliver? Where's the accountability?

I regularly have to put 7-8 rounds into someone before the go down. Meanwhile, someone shoots me from across the map and I drop dead before I even see the first round. Of course the kill cam shows him shooting me, but I don't stand a chance if I can't see
him too before his one shot kill drops me.

I don't mind the new boost mechanisms, it adds a new wrinkle to the game. I like the guns and the class building systems.

I HATE the maps. It's not the size, it's the design. I know they've made choices to eliminate camping, but they've taken it too far. Every area has multiple ways in and out. There is no way for you and a team to hold down an area of the map. This also means
that you're repeatedly killed immediately after spawning. Do you ever go on a bad streak, get killed a bunch of times in a row, and just want to slow it down for a minute? Tough. If you sit in one place for longer than 3 seconds you'll die.

I'm shot in the back in this game more than any other COD, by a factor of 10. So I can choose to run around the map and get killed because of lag comp, or I can slow it down and carefully navigate the map and get killed by someone coming up behind me and
shooting me in the back. Not fun.

I want to like this game. They need to work out the lag issues at the very least before I can enjoy MP.

the lag is really bad,but I like majority of the maps,i play only classic and infected.can't stand all that flying around.

 

I have to agree on lag problems, and also about being shot in the back more times than any other CoD game I've played. The hit detection was so bad I switched to Hardcore (which I tend to play mostly anyway). It is still bad but at least I was able to
reduce the times I've been shot by the guy I'm taking out. I've lost count of times I've had red dot on person and fired several rounds only to have them take me out with what appears to be one shot.

I like the maps. They are not great, but I do wish there was at least one really big map.

 

It's certainly up and down.Last night i had one game where everyone was one barring and laggy banding all over so i went and watched Clayster's stream for a while and then went into a CTF game and went 19-11 and dominated.It's hit or miss for sure.

 

I don't know about u guys but titanfall is the best fps out there and is also made by EA the makers of the battle field series. I have been playing the game all year and they keep adding stuff and making it interesting. They got co-op now. Respawn is
the shinizle! The original makers of cod. The game plays smooth I rarely lag, and you get a killstreak reward i.e. titan every few minutes. And it plays so fast that it puts cod to shame.

 

Agree that Titanfall is an awesome game...
