unfinished console more like xbox none

Dont think im a silly ps fanboy but im sick to death of my xbox one, i got the day1 edition with fifa 14 and was really looking forward to all its features which you cant even use, oneguide dont work in uk yet usb external memory dont work cant snap skype
when playing games infact u cant snap skype at all even though they advertised it and kinect voice commands works when it wants to i know they keep saying updates or coming but when? Its just i thought i was buying what they advertised but apparently not.

I've had this dilema. I had like 4 days for batman (unfinished) and 8 more days for Battlefield (haven't started campaign).

 

Should I get this game?

I like Saints Row more than GTA.Theres more customization.Saints Row 2 was fantastic.I have SR 3 but havent found the time to play it yet since I have hundreds of unfinished /unstarted games.

 

Hi there i understand the frustration but the USB external memory wasn't available at launch. As far the next system update that will be coming before E3. If you want keep an eye on this site

lets jus say if it ain't in fully working order they should'nt be allowed to release it, anyway, what's coming with the update? is the one guide coming? bet you don't know just like Microsoft told me when I phoned. I could have gone on about features not
working or not there like no battery power, now give a round of applause to the guy who came up with that idea and your recent players list etc where made to believe that when the fix them few problems with an update that we should be grateful but fact is
these things should have already been on the console, and for major nelsons blog 98% of it is about the 360, i mainly got the xbox for the one guide, snap feature and skype, thought it looked brilliant so lets just say im giving it till the end of February
and if the one guide and snapping skype is still not on its getting sold and ill put my money aside for the steam machine ,And lets be honest im not the only person out there ranting about these issues ,and arnt Microsoft in trouble with these lies? also
havnt they been made to take there original advertisement advert down?. don't get the impression im having a pop at you because im not I like all my fellow gamers frm xbox live, its Microsoft im not happy with, just feel like ive been sold a very expensive
lie, theres a saying on a programme I watch which is "if something seems to good to be true, it probably is." and thats the xbox all over, it took the 360 6-7 years to turn into the brilliant machine it is and the best console ever made in my opinion, but

I agree 100% with the original post...The only thing good about the XBO is the games themselves (the ones that aren't broken) and the controller (I like it alot)...Everything else software related is completely unintuitive and/or anti-social. No recent FRIENDS

The 360 was bare bones when it launched. Look at it now. It's not like Microsoft can copy and paste apps and features from the 360. It requires contracts, negotiating, and programming.

 

Well, they CAN and they should have ported every 360 features into XB1...

Apps are another war, but this dashboard and UI are CRAP!

 

i agree with this comment but id like to put something to CMUchippewa, what would you do if you was to buy a car and its advertised with, lets say a built in sat nav with electric windows and air conditioning, so you buy it, get inside the car and realise
that none of these features are in the car, so you ask the guy "where's all my features", would you be happy if the guy turns round and says "oh well, there coming, but it requires us to do abit of negotiating then sign some contracts then do some programming"
no you wouldn't be happy you'd get your money back, which is why I said ill give them a month b4 I sell it. See I got the xb1 because I wanted an all in one system to control everything if I wanted to just game then id have kept the 360 because graphics or
not a big deal to me, but future resolution problems, well that's another post for another time. anyway to carry on, the ps4 has carried straight on from the ps3 where the xbox one has started behind the 360. put it this way you can do more now on a ps4 then
a ps3 [excluding games] but you can do more on your 360 then your xbox one, it will take 2 years for xbox one to catch 360 with way things are looking, I don't know what its like for people in states but apparently things that don't work in the uk like one

CMUchippewa, I think the 360 is an awesome machine, no doubt and as time went on from launch it grew leaps and bounds. With that being said, all those years of trial and error were stepping stones of a learning experience that were not shared with the X1.
No offense, but im tired of hearing how the 360 was bare bones day one and look what it is today in reference to the X1.... The big question is , why with all those years of learning and what was achieved was it not applied to the X1?... That is a question
I believe most have to ask is why?.. An expectation of the X1 would meet basic things the 360 did from learned experiences, implemented on the X1 and then go forward. This other than games were not matched or exceeded and that is the question that eats away
at the current experience of this all in one machine.

 

Contracts, negotiating, and programming should concluded before you release any product to consumers CMUchippewa otherwise it's called misleading advertising.

 

The amount of stuff wrong with this machine is baffling, I let a couple of friends convince me to stay with xbox regardless of what i had heard, and I did because I like playing online with them and i thought the 360 was a fantastic piece of equipment regardless
of how many times it Rrod'd i even sick around when they upped the price for live. Waiting years or even a year to fix these issues is unacceptable. I've been duped. I consider myself a thorough consumer, but i let MS get the best of me this time. It's
to late to return my console, but it's not to late to cancel my live service and put some cash away for a PS4 this spring. I have to agree with the OP if these issues I'm having don't get fixed by spring, I hate to say it, but this will have been an expensive
lesson for me.

 

yea xbox one dosent work as advertised in the uk works fine in usa.

There is a massive dashboard update coming in march according to Marc Whitten, also theres a patch coming to boost game speed and framerate as well. Gotta hang in there for now better days are coming.
