unfairly muted by a 'moderator'

Discus and support unfairly muted by a 'moderator' in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I don't know where else to post this and can find no help anywhere else so I ended up here.     I don't know where else to post this and can find no help anywhere else so I ended up here. So to cut a long story short (ish) I was playing Gears of War 4 with 2 friends and 2 random players on horde mode, the 2 randomers quit out early due to dying repeatedly
    I assume, so I messaged one of them and asked why he would ruin the game over something as simple as dying, after receiving a lot of spam and the message which included "you lying **** get cancer" he messaged me again saying "enjoy the mute and ban" I haven't
    broken any rules in regards to the xbox messaging system throughout this exchange of messages. I turn my xbox on today to find out I'm muted and cant access party chat, messages or certain parts of games, why is this? The person who was sending me the messages
    prior had the word 'moderator' with a tick next to his name, the only thing I can think of is that he is abusing his power in some way? I'm not sure to be honest, all I know is that I've been unfairly punished for doing nothing wrong at all, I even reported
    the player but it doesn't seem as though he has had any action taken against him, has anyone else had this problem before? And if so, I would greatly appreciate any info on how to resolve this issue OR direct help from xbox support themselves. Sorry for the
    rant but this is just another little thing that has made me lose more faith in the xbox community and the way things are handled, thanks for reading if you got this far and have a good day.

    Customer service and muted unfairly.

    If you are harassed on the xbox live you should report the harassing party and block them from further harassment. Retaliating is a breach of the Code of Conduct and subject to enforcement acts.

  3. Customer service and muted unfairly.

    I'll start with the mute. I was muted earlier today for a week in a way which I find completely unfair. 2 other players are busy harassing me in voice chat, cussing and trying to provoke me. I also got plenty of messages including swears which I reported.
    An hour passed and they begin harassing me again. They clearly hadn't been banned, muted or dealt with in any way. 2 mins later, I'm muted....

    Secondly, I can't make an appeal of any kind. I've tried for the last hour and nothing works and it's completely stupid that you cannot make an appeal to a ban or mute or that it's hard to locate. I've tried contacting them at no success. Help me please
    to try and speak with them.

    And lastly, these 2 other players are continuing to harass me, even though I've reported them so many times for rude and insulting message and voice communication. How is it fair I'm muted and not them?

    Normally that would mean you've been given a communication suspension by the enforcement team. You would need to go to

    Since this post has gone up the mute/ban has been uplifted, thanks for the help Smwutches, although I did check the enforcement program and there was no record on the subject up there

    What would the supposed individual be a moderator of? No one is identified that way on Xbox Live except by there own hand. If the person was posing as an official Xbox employee then it was good to report them as that is an offense for impersonation.
