Unfairly banned

Hello, this is Wade Redding, owner/user of the Xbox live profile . I believe that i was unfairly chat banned due to the context of the the verbal conversation leading to the messaging that took place, which resulted in my ban until may 19th, 2018.

During a game of COD: WWII, i was talking to my team, asking them if any had mics to be able to communicate. Over the course of the game, with no-one responding to me and the game not going so well, i began to become frustrated. I will admit that this showed
in my voice, and will not attempt to deny that.

A teammate who had until then been quiet started talking down to me and claimed i was "toxic". Again, i was frustrated and had to agree with him, as i was being irrational with how i was approaching the game.

This should have been the end of the discussion but the other individual continued the conversation, getting to the point where he threatened to "find where i was at" and subsequently "...rape your family and sh*t in your 12-year-old sisters mouth." Hopefully
you understand that i did not take these comments lightly.

Usually, I would have shrugged those types of comments off. Empty threats are meaningless, especially over the internet. However, i had recently added a friend on xbox who had found out where i lived, using my IP address to pinpoint my HOME address. I no
longer take these threats lightly, especially after my friend described to me exactly how easy it is to track someone this way.

Before i could respond to the vulgar comment that was directed at me, the teammate left the game. I was furious, yet still tried to remain calm in the first of two messages that i sent to him. After being ignored, i sent a second message with a single derogatory
word in it, which he promptly reported and got me banned.

If i am to remain banned because of that, i understand that. Xbox rules define that bad language is not tolerated in messaging. However, i was responding to a intentionally threatening and vulgar statement, and only intended to finish the conversation. If
i am punished for this, while i understand it, i cannot believe that this can be exploited by every person with bad-intent on xbox. All they need to do is rile someone up enough for them to message them in a manner that Xbox prohibits, and they can get them
banned for weeks.

I have reported the user for abusive chat, but do not hold too much hope for that actually ending in a ban on his account. In any case, all i really want is for the chat-ban on my account to be lifted. I believe that circumstantially, i had the right to
follow up on this perceived threat and was banned for it.

My xbox account (IPoZxTRICKSHOT) was banned a year or so back and it was banned unfairly i contacted live supported and have been banned unfairly for "modding and cheating" which was 100% incorrect and i feel it should be unbanned

it doesn't matter who started the fight you cant retaliate in anyway that violates the terms of use

You are only allowed to block mute and report that's it
