Unfair Name Change

Hello, I am writing in the forum to talk about how my name was changed early last year, with no reason other than it was deemed inappropriate.

As my name is on this, my name was a name I had for years since I got my Xbox 360.

For the last year I dealt with my name being QuickPup3108502 but of recent I have been feeling quite annoyed.

Honestly I do not believe that anything will be done about this due to the fact it occurred on the 10/8/2017 and that I probably should have brought this to someone's attention sooner, but my name had nothing inappropriate wrong with it and if it was believed
to be a inappropriate name then it should of been changed years ago.

Personally I love Xbox but this sort of action rattle me drastically, and I would quite like this to be resolved properly rather than giving me a email stating that my name is bad.

Our WONDERFUL liveenforcement, good job

It seems a little unfair to get banned because I put my last name in the name slot. No warning about the fact that I cant have it,even though it's my last name! I could almost understand being told to change it or I will get banned.

Xbox Live Gamertag Changed

Hello,

My Xbox Live gamertag was recently force changed to a new name that I did not get to choose. In order to change my name again, I'm required to pay $9.99. Considering that my name was changed against my will and without warning, the 9.99 fee feels quite unfair.
I'm hoping for any Xbox Live support to review my case and allow me to change my name again now that it has been reset.

I got it sorted.... kind of. Basically, I spoke to someone on a live chat and they told me it's not displaying because I have " 凰 " in my name. However, with the new changes it was my understanding I'd be able to use any name and have it display. Now I'm left WITHOUT my free name change and being forced to pay when I had no warning whatsoever that this name wouldn't display. Which is a bit unfair in my opinion.

Unfortunately no one in the forums can assist with changing a gamertag for free. You could join Microsoft rewards (formerly known as Bing rewards) if it's in your area (https://rewards.bing.com) and work to earn one of the Xbox currency rewards so you can
change it.
