UNFAIR BANNING

i was banned after someone initiated a conversation with me so they could harrass me and then they reported me after i defended myself. This is not okay. They need real people to go over these reportings so that the true criminal can be banned. Xbox if trying
to help the community with these bans and the evil people are loopholing around it like nothing and maling it worse . I have payed monthly for xbox live for a long time and this is my reward? Ive had xbox live for 8 years... this is unacceptable. Next time
i wanna defend myself ill just make sure i dont use any profanity and i can say really horrible things to them and ill get away with it. Btw... Jana C was very unhelpful in assisting me with my ban. It all seems very automated. And unprofessional. You set
up the anti cyber bullying enforcement team and they are worthless at identifying true claims and reports... its all automated and a program probably just looks for profanity.. like i said .... next time ill just dish it out without any cuss words. Thanks

Unfair banning

Yep, don't respond to people who send you messages, just report and block and move on. If you "fight fire with fire" it usually ends up with you getting banned.

I know its wrong, but that's the way it is I'm afraid.

I had a similar situation the other day, playing BF1 I was on a pom pom shooting planes (purely because I'm not great at taking flags, but I can at least help by killing bombers etc) this bloke starts sending me texts saying I'm a noob and have no skill
and I should get off the pom pom and help "the cause".

This same bloke then jumps in front of the pom pom so I cant use it.

I could have responded and mouthed off, but the best thing is block and report.

 

Unfair banning

Aright so we all know 2k is a very toxic gaming community and people re going to text and talk all sorts of mean things , so i would say stop doing this or that because we are loosing . And some people take it to another level and curse me out 99% of the
time i pay no mind to it but the one time i defend myself online i get banned the man sent me a message saying kys and i simply said it right back then he proceed to report me tell his friend ( i know its his friend because we they where in a party invited
me i joined then left ) his friend goes off on me let it slide for about 10 min of him texting me he says kys i say it back the next morning i wake up trying to play my park and i am banned so unnless all three of us are banned there is no justification

 

It does not matter who starts the conversation if you violate the code of conduct you are subject to an enforcement action.

It is not an automated thing every report is investigated by a person and if there was a violation of the code of conduct then there would be an enforcement action taken against the account.

Even if you do not use profanity depending on what is said it could still be construed as harassment and would be a violation of the code of conduct.

In a situation like this in the future it would be best to report the other player and then block and mute them.

If you feel that you should not have been suspended you can file a case review by signing in at enforcement.xbox.com and filing for a case review there.
