Unfair Banning FED UP?

Hi there,

I have been a Xbox live community gamer for 10 years now 4 alone on the account in question.

I've been slammed on multiple occasions with communication bans for PM's containing in-appropriate language although theses messages were sent to players

who were also breaking code of conduct E.g. there was a player running around team killing committing suicide . . . ruining the game for everyone i sent one message knowing it contained the "F%$# Off'" this gamer then reports the message and i'm instantly hit
with a communication ban. everyone in the game including the opposing team reported the player for unsporting conduct and no punishment was given to this player.

This is not the first time and I'm fed up.

How is bad language a more punishable offence than ruining the game for everyone?

Unfair banning

Yep, don't respond to people who send you messages, just report and block and move on. If you "fight fire with fire" it usually ends up with you getting banned.

I know its wrong, but that's the way it is I'm afraid.

I had a similar situation the other day, playing BF1 I was on a pom pom shooting planes (purely because I'm not great at taking flags, but I can at least help by killing bombers etc) this bloke starts sending me texts saying I'm a noob and have no skill
and I should get off the pom pom and help "the cause".

This same bloke then jumps in front of the pom pom so I cant use it.

I could have responded and mouthed off, but the best thing is block and report.

 

UNFAIR BANNING

It does not matter who starts the conversation if you violate the code of conduct you are subject to an enforcement action.

It is not an automated thing every report is investigated by a person and if there was a violation of the code of conduct then there would be an enforcement action taken against the account.

Even if you do not use profanity depending on what is said it could still be construed as harassment and would be a violation of the code of conduct.

In a situation like this in the future it would be best to report the other player and then block and mute them.

If you feel that you should not have been suspended you can file a case review by signing in at enforcement.xbox.com and filing for a case review there.

The enforcement team does not monitor these forums so the only way to contact them is through their website.

 

Maybe you shouldn't message other players telling them to **** off? Simply report them, and get anybody else who see's it happening to report them as well, and eventually they will become a "Avoid Me" player, and won't be put in games with nice people anymore.
Instead your chose to first abuse him, then report him. In my eyes, he deserves to get "Avoid me" written on his profile, and you deserve the ban for abusing another person via Xbox Live. In future, just report them to Xbox Live, don't communicate with them,
unless you are going to message them and say for example "Can you please not do that?"
