    I had a gamer tag on Xbox One that I do not believe is inappropriate enough to result in a gamer tag change. The name was "thenipplecriplr" and got changed to something along the lines of "PrettyFauna367". Naming myself "thenipplecriplr" is just like naming
    myself "buttcheek" and shouldn't result in a name change by any means. I don't think that I should have to pay $10 to change my name back to something else. I am willing to change my name to something less "inappropriate", but am not willing to pay the $10

    Help with changing gamer tag

    i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

    I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

    If you wont pay then your stuck with PrettyFawn21030.

    If you receive a forced name change then you get given a new randomly generated tag for free,if you want to change that gamertag then you have to pay.

    Something you agreed to when you accepted the ToU/Coc.

    You can try filing for a case review on the enforcement site
    here     but I wouldn't get your hopes up of getting your old tag back.

    I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

    Swapping gamertags

    Gamer tags are tied to accounts and can only be changed when you go through the process to change the gamer tag. No one can give you a gamer tag to assign to another account.

    So, neither you or as you stated, "people threating to take the tag as soon as it is chnaged" can take that gamer tag.

    The gamer tag won't be made available right away if you change the gamer tag on that original account.

    Why did my gamer-tag change? It really didn't offend nobody ( BIgBOyLuvMiLPhz )it was a funny gamer-tag to make people laugh and this was my first time actually getting reported. My friends gamer-tag were funny but when they got reported they had to change
    there gamer-tag to something else or they couldn't play live at all and you gave them a (FREE GAMER-TAG CHANGE), how come I cant get that opportunity to change my gamer-tag?
