    Undo Update for Xbox Companion App


    I don’t mind the normal updates that Xbox have done inv the past, but the current update is preventing the launch of the app whenever I click on it. I even tried waiting it out for period of an hour and a period of three hours, but it still hasn’t popped
    up. It was working just fine a couple of days ago. Basically I just want to revert/undo the update of the Xbox Companion app to one before the current one. I’m be reasonably grateful for any answer I get.

    Did you try to mute and unmute your friend or undo and re-friend? Also try mutating and unmuting it in the Xbox Companion app.

    The APP was updated and is simply called the Console Companion. The Beta APP and the console companion are pretty much identical at the moment so I think you only need the console companion which is the newest version. I have the beta app which updated
    and is now simply called Xbox (beta) as I said there is no discernable difference.

    Xbox Console Companion App won't stream Xbox to laptop.

    The Xbox is an Xbox One S, OS version is 10.0.2261.3446 (xb_flt_2302ni.230208-1530)

    Console Companion App version is 48.89.25001.00000.

    I have no option to update either the console or companion app, yet the app says one of them is out of date.

    You mention already checking for updates in the Windows Store app. Have you tried resetting the Xbox Companion app? Right click Xbox Companion app icon> More> App Settings> Reset and Repair. Also, reset and repair the Game Bar app just in case.
