    Why is it that i cannot download a free xbox 360 games with gold game for xbox one just because im 14 and not 18 years old? The fact that i cannot download a free game because im underaged is very very frustating because when i am 18 im 100 percent sure
    that its not free and i have to pay money for the game. That is ridicoulous! Please help me and other people by fixing this.

    cannot download the free game lego starwars because I'm underaged.

    Hello,

    This afternoon I tried to download the free with gold game called 'lego star wars'.

    But I got the error message that I had to download it from my xbox while I was on my xbox.

    So I went to the twitter support and found out the reason I can't download it is because I have an underaged account.

    Why is it not possible to download a backward compatibility game on your xbox one from your xbox one if you have an underaged account? But is possible from a xbox 360 device.

    I wasn't sure in which forum to post this so I posted it here.

    I hope there is another solution for this better than buying a xbox 360 to dowload a game for my xbox one.

    The 360 store and the One store are set up differently. Due to restrictions on child accounts for the 360 store that can't be adjusted on the One, you can't download backwards compatible games. You can get them through a 360 console.

    Can i then buy the 360 disc for the game and then put it in my xbox one and it will work?

    As long as the game is backwards compatible it would work.

    hello cpwilli, sorry to hear about your underage download permission issue. Some game makers DO make content that is not allowed for underaged accounts. You CAN make allowances on a gamertag with an underage birthdate via xbox parental controls but might
    still have to abide by the game specifics. Your choices are to either make allowances and work with the game websites OR build a new account with an adult birthdate.
