Under a dollar in Microsoft cash, need help

I'm changing e-mail addresses for my gamertag(The account it's under has ceased to be cause of inactivity). I'm all set up and ready, but I got some error message. Apparently, I need to clear my funds. Problem is, I've got 74 freaking cents. I've been trying
to do the math, but it keeps leaving me with odd numbers I can't get rid of. Is there some way to just, erase my current funds?

Can't purchase VC in NBA 2K14

I have tried to spend a bit of cash on VC but it constantly cones up with... An error occurred while completing this operation. Purchase-Billing-40423 I have gone to get a Microsoft dollar card to see if that would help, but it didn't.

You can always do a split payment. Buy something with a credit card and it should ask if you want to use the remaining funds in your account first, then put the rest on the card. That's the only way I know to completely get rid of an odd amount. You can
try contacting support and speak to billing to see if they can remove it, but there is generally no way to completely remove them without spending them.

The reason you always get low balled on cash is to prevent theft. If they offered a lot of cash then people would go out of their ways to steal games at parties. Store credit always jumps it up like 10 dollars. I traded in a bricked xbox the other day
for cash it was 23 dollars for store credit it was 75....
