Unclear & Unfair Communication Suspension?

So apparently I got a communication suspension for two messages I sent to someone.

the first message was "Hey..." and then the second was right after it as a voice message saying "What happened to the dinosaurs? They froze!" in an Arnold Shwarzenager voice.

I sent these because I was playing Overwatch with five friends and we all played Mei. I wasn't trying to be mean, I was genuinely trying to be funny, and I'd never even used the message system like this before with the exception of one person who got upset
with my friend in Halo 5 for accidental betrayals in the Grifball game mode. About a month ago.

My question is, why am I deserving of this For making a joke? And why isn't there even an appeal process?

Also, apologies for any weird grammar in this post, I made it using a friends iPad.

The best thing to do would be to report him and block communications with him.

Also, I checked my Microsoft email for a notification of the suspension, and didn't have anything. The only notification I got was in-game at the top of my screen reading "[End of service] Skype June 6, 2016"

So yeah, I was even left scratching my head wondering what was even happening.

As long as you filed a complaint on him (calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums), the enforcement team will also investigate him and take appropriate action. There really isn't a way to know for sure if/when they receive a suspension. It doesn't
matter how a situation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct, you can be suspended. In situations like that, it's best to just report them and block communications with them instead of responding to them.
