Unclear about comm ban length.

I got an email saying i had a communications ban on my account but it isnt clear about how long the ban lasts. The email says both temporary and permanent so im a bit confused. Could anyone help me out?

The length of your comm-ban would be specified by logging in to http://enforcement.xbox.com.

The Enforcement team generally issues the ban in
durations of 1, 7, or 14 days (depending on severity).

 

Suspended while suspended? What is going on with the enforcement team?

I was given a comms ban on Saturday and then received another suspension today. How is that even possible when I have a comms ban? I literally could not communicate with anyone. Now on top of a comms ban I have a multiplayer ban as well. I need to talk
to an actual person and get this cleared up.

 

Go to http://enforcement.xbox.com and you should be able to see information about the suspension there.

features. Temporary suspension impact: For the duration of the suspension this account cannot use Xbox Live communication features, including in-game and party chat, messaging, video communications, gameplay broadcasting, sharing content, and Skype on Xbox
One. Permanent suspension impact: This account can no longer sign in to Xbox Live from any device. This enforcement affects the account's Xbox Live privileges.

Is my comm ban permanent or temporary? it says both but im not sure.

 

I'm in the same position but its my son's account which uses my email address. If he's banned permanently, I want to return the five games I've just bought him for christmas

 

If you haven't already, try submitting a case review. The enforcement team are the only ones who hande suspensions and bannings so they would be the only ones with information.

Killer, it sounds like you may have been issued a temporary communications suspension and then a permanent. If you've been suspended for that before, and multiple times, it does result in a permanent ban.

 

There is no button on the enforcement history page to request a review

 

Well you can say goodbye to being able to chat again even after ban is lifted, microsoft don't care about a known issue that has been going on for a year now and yet they still ban people knowing that they will not be able to talk even after the ban is lifted,
SORT IT OUT, and the microsoft people replying here are idiots that don't have a clue either, they are puppets.

Yep, I've been unbanned since November 1st and I still don't have party chat working. The mods here can't do anything about it, to whoever called them idiots.

Thanks for your help fellow gamers. No, i've never had any bans or warnings before, ten years ive been on Live and both my profiles have good reps. If i have been permanently banned i think thats unfair because i only told a bad camper to stop it and play
properly, i didnt even swear lol...... oh well, PS4 for me now then.

 

22 days without communications. My bann ends in 1th november. 22 days!!!! Enforcement dont help

 

I just want to find out if its permanent or temporary. If its permanent then its not really worth me playin on Live no more. I've just checked, iv had 3 negative things on my rep thing in the last six months.... not bad really seeing how ive been on for
Live ten years (Killer Kev UK was my old profile, i had 130,000 gamerscore but lost it because i forgot my email address i used to create my Live profile.) Is there anyway i can just find out the duration of the ban before i spend any more money on Live?
