Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is a question in reference to requesting a refund for an unauthorized purchase.
I recommend to try the following link, request a refund for a purchase,
which will detail how to make a refund request for review by our refund team. Be sure to sign in to and submit your request from the account that was used to make the purchase. You'll need to provide the order number for each item and can be found by signing
in to your Microsoft account.

If you have any questions regarding the refund, I further recommend, as the Ambassadors have, that you
contact Xbox Support by requesting a call back or chat so that they can help guide you. Sadly, we here on the forums lack the tools necessary to directly help with any billing
or refund issues.

• Scroll down, Click on Contact Us
  
• Step 2 : Select a Category, then See other options
  
• Step 3 : Select your Issue/Topic
  
  • Select - Show contact options
    
  • Select – Call me back or chat with Xbox Support
    

If you do not see the selection that you wish to use for contact, then switch topics until it becomes available as the selections may change from time to time.

It sounds like you were billed and renewed before redeeming the code. Contact Xbox Support. They should work with you and get you all fixed up.
